Through great personal suffering I have managed to cobble together the functionality I desired for our userpages. For standard users, your userpage is the only page you will be able to create. Other people (generally) can't touch your userpage, but may view it. Userpages can then be used as personal protected spaces for standardized hosting and sharing of keep/sell lists across hobby spaces, with species identifications and morphs names synced with the wiki standard. QR codes can link to your list.

I still need to create some pages as templates and guides directing users how to do this, since interfacing with MediaWiki outside of simple browsing is not terribly user-friendly. I had VisualEditor working for that, but I think it broke.
