Cubaris sp. "Crystal Wall" is an undescribed species of armadillid native to Thailand. This is allegedly a true cave-dwelling species[1], a claim falsely made for many isopods.
General Information
Background
Most species grouped under Cubaris are very poorly known. Unfortunately, this is one such animal.
Description
Cubaris sp. "Crystal Wall" is a species that is physically similar to Cubaris sp. "Rubber Ducky". As in that species, a key feature of "Crystal Wall" is the concentrated yellow pigments on both ends of the isopod. It is one of the few oniscideans with significant purple coloration, though if the level of yellow tones throughout the body is low, the individual will appear more gray.
Taxonomy
Taxonomic characters of Cubaris sp. "Crystal Wall" are:
